Veterinary Insurance
There are a number of companies that offer veterinary insurance, which
can be very helpful during a crisis. Major surgical cases (e.g. broken
legs, perforated intestines etc.) can easily cost more than $3000 to
fully resolve. For many, pet insurance removes the financial barriers
from deciding what treatments are best.
There are multiple insurance companies, each with their own policies.
Although we are happy to answer any questions you may have, the best
way to gain information is directly from the companies themselves. The
following websites are for some of the more popular insurance carriers:

Financing
We recommend using
Medicard for emergency situations
where financing is needed. Medicard is a company that provides loans
for individual situations or medical emergencies. Applications can be
filled on-line or by fax, and will be responded to within 24 hours.
Because some situations require that decisions be made instantly, it is
always best to have an emergency plan in place (e.g. pet insurance or
a pre-approved line of credit).
